Chang Highlights for 2007

2007 was a busy year for us. We started the year by celebrating with friends and family in Hawaii and after returning home found out we were expecting a Baby Chang! In February we made another trip to Hawaii for the Punahou Carnival then saw Pilobolus at The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. In March we took a trip to Washington to visit relatives and the word was out, Baby Chang was on the way! In April we geared up for a camping trip at Lake Perris. In May we participated in the Revlon Run/Walk 5k in L.A. (an annual event for us) and we went to a tv taping of one of my faves, the Ellen Degeneres Show. In June we went to watch the MTV Movie Awards at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal and I took my Glucose Test (..and also the extended 3-hour re-test). In July we went to the LA Jazz Festival at the Greek Amphitheater at Griffith Park. We also celebrated Willis' birthday at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. August started off with a baby shower to celebrate upcoming Baby Chang and I started my maternity leave from work. We also went to see Michael Buble at the Greek Amphitheater. As new USC Football season ticket holders, September was kicked off by the first game of the season against Idaho. Luckily I was still able to climb the Coliseum steps to get to our seats, my due date being only a couple of weeks away. And then two became three when we celebrated the arrival of BABY AUSTIN! October flew by as I turned 30!! With Willis back at work in November it was just Austin and me at home during the weekdays. We had fun with our 'Mornings for Moms' group where we got to get out and meet other new moms and babies. For me, December marked my return to work from maternity leave. Austin had a number of "firsts" in December, a few of them were starting daycare, going to his first movie in a theater, being in his first holiday show and celebrating his first Christmas. We got a little Christmas tree for Austin's first Christmas and rounded out the year by celebrating with a nice, cozy holiday at home.

With the arrival of Baby Chang and as a new year approaches, I thought I'd start keeping a log of what's going on with us now that our lives revolve around a new baby. I'm going to try my best to keep up with updates, free time is rare - as many people may know by the lack of updated pictures on our website, but I'm going to try so we'll be able to look back and remember milestones and events in the life of the Chang Family.
