It's like a picnic

Look what he made
I had a pack of craft pipe cleaners in my bag of activities to occupy the kids on the plane. It occupied Jackson for about four minutes because all he wanted to do was pull them out of the package and throw them on the floor. They held Austin's attention for 15-20 minutes at first but he came back to them again later and was asking for them after we got off the plane. This is what he made. I think he said it was a monster with two feet but now it's a monster with five feet.

Two weeks with the boys
I was lucky enough to be able to spend the full two weeks of the kids' winter vacation at home with them. Willis was at work most of the two weeks so I had to plan some fun activities to get the three of us out of the house every day. We had lots of fun together and I loved getting to see how much they're both maturing.
Two weeks of fun, just me and my boys:
Day 1 (M): Hollyglen Park
Day 2 (Tu): Scooter's Jungle
Day 3 (W): Disneyland
Day 4 (Th): Under the Sea
Day 5 (F): Ralphs
Day 6 (Tu): Mitsuwa
Day 7 (W): Santa Ana Zoo
Day 8 (Th): Polliwog Park
Day 9 (F): Jackson's 9 mo. photos and Babies R Us
I'm sad to be going back to the regular routine. I had my moments of frustration, stress and exhaustion with those two little guys, but I'll miss looking forward to the days' activity, and having fun with my boys.
During the winter break, Austin missed his school. He asked multiple times when he was going to school, if he was going to school the next day or just telling us he wanted to go to school. He had fun over the break, but I know he was antsy to go back. He was starting to act up here and there, probably out of boredom, not listening, taking little shots at his brother (ie. Knocking him in the head with a book or grabbing the toy in his hand or pushing him. Not to worry, though, those actions toward his brother still came along with his usual hugs, sharing toys and trying out wrestling moves)
