Jackson's first yellow card

When I was gathering Jackson's things in the afternoon, I asked him, "What color card did you get today?" He innocently said, "I got a yellow card." Sure enough, he had a yellow card, with this note on the back:

It is his 14th day in the Sea Star class, so far all green cards before today. When he does have a green card, he happily gets a dollar from the box and puts it in his envelope that is stored in his cubby. When he gets 10 dollars, he can buy a prize. So, he got to buy a prize last week. He seemed happy to pick something from the prize box, but this behavior incentive of getting dollars for a prize has so far been somewhat lost on him since he didn't even seem remotely concerned when I said, "you didn't get a green card today so you don't get a dollar."

Morning conversations with the kids

Hanging out with the kids in the office this morning.

(Jackson found cowboy hats so both kids were wearing them)
A: I should have worn my Puhanou shirt today.
Me: How come?
A: (pointing to cowboy hat on his head)
Me: Did you know you were wearing the same shirt as Daddy yesterday?
A: Yeah, but they weren't really the same because they were different colors.
Me: Yeah, but you and Jackson were wearing the same color shirt.
A: Yeah, blue shirts.
J: I'm gween.
Me: You're green?
J: My shoes is gween, but my other shoes is bwown!

Conversations with three-year-old Jackson

Me: How was your day Jackson?
J: Good
Me: What did you do today? 
J: I just pway wit my fwiends.
Me: What did you play with?
J: I pway wit da mommy.
Me: You played Mommy?
J: I pway wit da Lego peoples.
Me: Which friend did you play with?
J: Dylan
Me: Did you play in the sandbox today?
J: Yeah, I did
Me: Who did you play with?
J: Conner
Me: Did you do activities today?
J: Yeah, I did. I pway wit play-doh... I pway wit play-doh. I din't pway play-doh. I don't eat play-doh.
Me: Oh, that's right, we don't eat play-doh. What color play-doh did you play with?
J: Ye-yoh


J: Is dat Austin's? (referring to a piece of paper on the desk)
Me: Yes, that's Austin's. Where's your paper?
J: I just loozed it. I can't find my paper.

It's like a picnic

Of all our years of travel, this is the very first time we have had to rent a luggage cart. $5 to rent a luggage cart seems like a lot, but getting it so I could pick up our two suitcases and two car seats from baggage claim and take them and the kids out to wait for Willis to pick us up was sooo worth it!

Having a snack as we wait for our ride. Austin said, "It's like a picnic!"

The traffic to get out of the airport, on the other hand, was not great. Lane closure around terminals 3 and 4 when all the last flights of the night were getting in created a madhouse of a traffic jam!
